The Pixel 3 XL has shown up in nearly constant leaks over the past few weeks. We were able to write over 3,000 words about everything we know about it and the event is still over a month away. While all of these leaks have been pouring in, one question has been on our mind: where is the Pixel 3? We finally have our first look.
We’ve seen the Pixel 3 in renders before, but never real-life photos. The Pixel 3 is a smaller device with the same specs, but one really big difference: no display notch. The display notch has been a big point of contention with the Pixel 3 XL leaks. This has lead a lot of people to crown the Pixel 3 as the better option.
These leaked photos from Reddit (obviously a throwaway account) show the front, back, and sides of the Pixel 3. We can see the 5.5-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2160×1080 resolution. Here are all the specs we can gather from the leak:
- 5.5-inch display, 2160×1080, 18:9
- Dual 8MP cameras on the front, just like the Pixel 3 XL.
- The first camera is capable of f/1.8 and f/2.2, while the second is f/1.8.
- 2915 mAh battery
- 4GB of RAM
- This phone was being tested on a different carrier than Verizon, which is also important to note. The carrier exclusive deal may be coming to an end.
We’ve been waiting to get a glimpse of the Pixel 3 and now we finally have one. It looks like a very nice device and many people will prefer the notch-less design. If you don’t mind a slightly smaller phone, the Pixel 3 may be the best choice. Battery life could be an issue but we won’t know until we test it. What do you think of the Pixel 3 now that you’ve seen it?
