In Lucknow, a bakery has avoided the traditional path and is selling cakes with pictures of goats printed on it. Well, on the occasion a buyer also talked to ANI and in the statement said, “The custom of sacrificing an animal on Bakrid is not right. I appeal to everyone to celebrate the festival by cutting a cake instead of an animal.”
Yesterday, in Uttrakhand, the High Court banned on the slaughtering of goats, sheep or buffaloes in the open or in public on the occasion of Eid-ul-Juha. Not only this, a Court also imposed a ban on cutting animals outside Hindu temples.
The bench of Justice Rajiv Sharma and Justice Manoj Tiwari ordered, “no animal slaughters is allowed in the open or in public and must be done in slaughterhouses only. ” The court added, “the blood and offal should not flow into open drains and nullahs. The order is directed towards one and all irrespective of any religion.”
